Pottery Love!

It was a wonderful privilege to meet potter Joe Finch at the Long Room Gallery at the weekend. Joe shared the written memoirs of his father Ray Finch of Winchcombe Pottery and his own recollections of early days working as his father's ‘apprentice’…Joe took us on his inspiring 'pottery journey' from tableware for Cranks in the 1960’s...through the wonders of kiln building, wood fuelled firing, pot throwing and slipware decoration...to establishing potteries in Africa, Scotland and now West Wales. We’ll be sure to visit next time we’re off to Cardigan Bay!
